Ms. Agnes Mae Davis, age 63, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at her home on Kingtown Road.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 31, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. David Troxell officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Silerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time for funeral services.

Ms. Davis worked in the dietary department at the McCreary Health and Rehabilitation Center for 11 years.

On March 3, 1947, in Knoxville, Tennessee, she entered life the daughter of the late Mossie Daniels and James Alexander Ellenburg. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Edward Davis and two sons Robert Lee Evans and James Carmel Evans, a grandson Zackery Ross, and a brother James C. "Jimbo" Ellenburg.

She had three daughters Karen Marie (and David) Phillips of Stearns, Monica Lynn (and Daniel) Bowling of Revelo, and Melissa Ann Evans (and Jody Phillips) of Strunk. She had three grandchildren Michelle Ann Phillips of Stearns, David Lee Phillips, Jr. of Stearns, and Justin Tyler Lee Ross of Strunk, and seven who called her "grandma" Patricia ("Pip"), Cody, Daniel, Keanon, Wesley, Damon and Matthew. There are three sisters Sue (and Sonny) Clark of Hearring, North Carolina, Ruth (and Denny) Kholsdorf of Cincinnati and Charlene Dalton of Cincinnati. She had 18 nephews and 14 nieces and many other family and friends who loved her dearly.

Rest in peace Aggie. You made me laugh, showed me dancing is fun and were one of the best sisters in law ever. You were so loved and will truly be missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family especially Aggie's children and sisters. I have only the best memories of my Aunt Aggie. She was truley one of a kind and now she is at peace and suffering no more! Keep dancing and shaking those "Aggie hips" like only you can...until we meet again...I will treasure the memories!!

Aggie,I will miss you dearly. You are truly one of a kind. Many of my fondest childhood memories involve time spent with you. You were one of the best story tellers that I have ever met and I will probably never meet anyone who can keep up to the song "wipeout" besides you. I giggle every time I think about it. I know you are dancing in heaven right know with everyone who has been waiting for you. Take it easy on them aggie, you are a hard act to follow. I will love you forever and ever. Gin

Aggie, I will miss you so much! I know you are in God's Hands and in a better place. My heart is heavy and sad because of the loss of a sister and a friend. God only cries for the living,cause it's the living that are left to carry on..Aggie I know you are in a better place with no more pain and suffering. I will always remember our summers together,the cookie jar,the 'my big toe' story,and so much more.You treated me like I was your own child,I love you. Rest now, Aggie.
