ALICE SUE BELCHER

Alice Sue Belcher, 65, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2007. She made her home in Muncie after moving from Harlan, Kentucky, in 1963.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 17, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at Parson Mortuary in Muncie, Indiana, with Ottis Belcher, Linda Adkins and Rev. Barb Farr and Rev. Terry Farr officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery in Pine Knot, Kentucky.

She was born in Whitley City, Kentucky, to Ottis and Oshie West Phillips on August 30, 1941. She worked for several businesses in Muncie and was a security guard and an interior decorator. Alice was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was a back-up gospel singer.

Leaving to cherish her memory is her husband of 47 years, Rodney R. Belcher, a son Ottis Belcher and a grandson, Justin Belcher and a step-grandson, Derick Redman; three sisters, Norma Seals (husband William) of Dayton, Ohio, Shirley Bowen (husband Steve) of Muncie, Nina "Toby" Morgan Wachob (husband William) of Anderson, IN, a brother-in-law, Bill Matthews of Charleston, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Ottis and Oshie West Phillips, two sister, Mary Alford and Shaunda Grubbs and a niece Patty Ann.
