ALYENE BRYANT BALL

Ms. Alyene (Bryant) Ball, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, June 17, 2012. She had attained the age of 84 years and 22 days.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church in Pine Knot, with Rev. Landon Sexton officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Pine Knot Funeral Home on Tuesday after 4:00 p.m.

Alyene had worked with the Green Thumb project of the Lake Cumberland Community Services and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

She was born on May 25, 1928, in Pine Knot, Kentucky to the late George and Rosie (Strunk) Bryant. Others preceding her in death are a son Dennis Paul Ball, a great grandson and three sisters; Lizzie Davenport, Anna Cooper and Eva Gilreath.

Surviving family include three daughters; Judith Carol Hamm (and Richard), Stearns, Elveria Willene Trammell (and Kenny), Pine Knot, and Rosemary Elaine Begley (and Richard), Campbellsville. Sons are Eric Wayne Ball (and Rosalie), Pine Knot, Michael Danny Ball, Stearns, Teddy Dale Ball (and Nancy), Stearns, David Murrell Ball (and Karen) Pine Knot, Ricky Allen Ball, Pine Knot, Anthony Moran Ball, Pine Knot and Frankie Wade Ball (and Sherry), Pine Knot. There are three sisters; Ruby Stephens, Stearns, Nannie Ross, Stearns, and Georgia Moore (and Henry), Clinton, Tennessee. She had 31 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
