ARDILLA FAYE BAIRD

Ardilla Faye Baird, widow of Emery Baird, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the Signature Health Care facility in Pine Knot.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2022, in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with burial at the Hayes Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

 Born May 22, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Richard F. and Ardilla (Brown) Wilson. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Emery Frances Baird, brothers: Bill Wilson, Woodrow Wilson, Eddie Wilson, Harry Wilson, Grover Wilson, and Richard Wilson, and half brothers: Bennie Wilson, Bobby Wilson, and Jimmy Wilson and three sisters: Rosellen Gilreath, Betty Lou Anderson and Frankie Nesbitt.

Surviving family include a daughter, Kathy Perry (Steven) of Stearns, Kentucky, two sons: Jeffery Baird (Sharon) of Pine Knot, and Dennis Baird (Kathy) of Oneida, Tennessee, three half sisters: Drucella Wilson, Patty King and Goldie Stephens, and a half brother, Costello Wilson.

There are six grandchildren: James David King, II, Joseph Shane King, Heather Lynn King, Mykel Baird, Rusty Baird and Paula Holland, and a host of great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Faye had worked as a factory worker and had been a member of the Hayes Creek Church of God since 1956.  She enjoyed cooking and working and loved her family, children and grandchildren.  She will most definitely be missed by all who knew and loved her.
