BARBARA GAIL (DUNCAN) BARNETT

Barbara Gail (Duncan) Barnett, age 70, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at the Anderson Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was born on January 27, 1951, to the late Ale and Versie Spradlin Duncan. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings: Casper Eugene Duncan, Opal Duncan Taylor, Rev. Ronald Wendell Duncan, Crawford Ale Duncan, Lenville Rodney Duncan, and Shirley Belle Duncan.
Surviving family include her husband of 46 years, Kelly Barnett, two sons: Kevin (Marcie) Barnett of Cincinnati an Eric (Lori) Barnett also of Cincinnati, two step-sons: Kelly Wayne Barnett of Lexington, Kentucky and John Allen Barnett of Madisonville, Kentucky, five grandchildren: Trey, Isaac, Jadin, Gavin and Jaxon Barnett all of Cincinnati, and four step-granddaughters: Katie Young, Emily Barnett, Diana Utley and Alicia Calder.
Her surviving siblings are: Edwin Luther Duncan of Strunk, Kentucky, A.Y. (Marilyn) Duncan of Strunk, and Bonnie (Morris) Stephens of Winfield, Tennessee.
Barbara was retired from the Cincinnati Public Schools where she had been a cashier and accounts payable clerk. She enjoyed yard work and gardening and decorating her home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Kingtown Cemetery. Bro. Robert Blankenship and Bro. Morris Stephens will be officiating and Tim Duncan and family will be singing.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 at the funeral home.
