Barbara Sue Stanfill

Barbara Sue (Meadows) Stanfill age 82 of Strunk, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born on January 5, 1944 in Osborne Creek, Kentucky to the late Arnold Meadows and Della (Musgrove) Meadows.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Orville Lee, Paul, Roger, Ernest, Larry, Kenneth, and Carl Meadows; and a sister, Ella Irene Luton.

Surviving family include her husband, Frank Stanfill; a son, Dwayne Stanfill; a sister, Sandra Meadows; her brothers, Bob Meadows and Gary Meadows; her companion of 23 years, Greg Herron;  and grandchildren; Daniel Stanfill (Melissa) and Mitch Sigler (Ashley), great grandchildren: Ryker, Jaxton, Raylynn and Mavrick.

Barbara was of the Baptist faith and was a terrific homemaker. She took much pride in caring for her family and being a mother as well as a "professional delegator". Barb also loved animals and flowers of all kinds. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Taylor officiating. Burial to follow in the Meadows-Osborne Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday after 12:00 noon until service time.
