BERNICE LITTON

Bernice Litton, age 68, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was born in Oneida, Kentucky, on November 18, 1950, to the late Earl and Lillie (Salamandra) Baker.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons: Darren Vaughn Duncan and Michael Troy Duncan, and a sister, Mary Purvis.

Surviving family include her husband, Randell “Picolo” Litton whom she married December 12, 1981, two step-sons: Jason (and Kimberly) Mann and Anthony (and Kasey) Pelfrey, a brother, Johnny Baker of Cincinnati, Ohio, sisters: Janet Sester, Loretta Baker, Ruth Baker, Carole Davis, Marcella Salamandra and Doris Salamandra. There are nine grandchildren: Heather (and Eric) Tucker, Delanie “D.D.” Duncan, Codi Duncan, B.J. (and Corey) Duncan, McKenna Mann, Amora Mann, Kristen Pelfrey, Cole Pelfrey, Ashley (and Philip) Hill, and four great grandchildren: Sadie Jayne Tucker, Aiden James Duncan, Eli Cash Duncan, and Emerson Janson Duncan.

Bernice had worked as a supervisor for the American Bag Corporation for many years.  She greatly adored her grandchildren, who were the highlight of her life.  Bernice enjoyed reading her bible and praying for others. She will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. William Kilby officiating.  She will be laid to rest at the Hayes Creek Cemetery.
