Betty Ann Fitzgerald

Betty Ann Fitzgerald age 61 of Huntsville, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Big South Fork Medical Center.

She was born July 31, 1958 in Scott County, Tennessee to the late Austin Slaven and Eva (Simpson) Slaven. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Rubin Privett; and brothers, Roger, Lawrence, and Jimmy Slaven.

Surviving family include her husband, James Fitzgerald whom she married August 4, 2006; sons, Estil Privett (and Renea) of Oneida, Tennessee and Dustin Privett (and Sara) of Whitley City, Kentucky; brothers, Clifford Slaven (and Ollie) of Anderson, Indiana and Kenneth Slaven (and Madonna) of Maryville, Tennessee; sisters, Wilda Masunga (and Gary) of San Jose, California and Donna Meece (and Bobby) of Somerset, Kentucky; and a sister-in-law, Margie Slaven.  Her grandchildrenare:  Bretlee, Conner, Allie, Dusty, Ruben, and Hudson Privett.

Also surviving are her step-children and their children, Roger Fitzgerald (and Angie), Sharon Woodward (and Harry), Amy Day (and Tim), and Tommy Fitzgerald.

Betty was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed keeping house and caring for her family. Betty will be deeply missed.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Antioch Baptist Church in Tennessee with Bro. Johnny Perry and Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating. Burial to follow in the Jess-Privett Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday after 10:00 am until service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Pine Knot Funeral Home to assist with funeral expense.
