Bobby Ray Creekmore age 84 of the Bethel Community in Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at his home.
He was born on May 22, 1941 in Pine Knot, Kentucky to the late George Clellan Creekmore and Mary (Moore) Creekmore. In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by a brother Donald Creekmore and wife, Betty; a sister, Rosalee Marlow; and brother-in-law, Hank Chitwood.
Surviving family include his wife, Rosalee (Martin) Creekmore; sons, Donnie Creekmore and Leroy Creekmore; daughters, Dynese Creekmore, Teresa Creekmore, and Norma Coffey, all of the Bethel Community; brothers, Ralph Creekmore (and Marsha) of Glasgow, Kentucky and Lonnie Creekmore (and Patsy) of Pine Knot; sisters, Betty Chitwood of Winfield, Tennessee, Georgia Simpson (and Wayne) of Pine Knot, Mary Ann Meadows (and Thomas) also of Pine Knot, Carolyn Sexton (and Wayne) of Tennessee, and Tonie Creekmore (and Trent) of Pine Knot; and a brother-in-law, Joe Marlow.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Nina Booth (and Steven), Erica Roberts (and Jon), Amber Sears (and Lonnie), Trevor Stephens, Ashley Loudermilk (and Colby Campbell), John Loudermilk, Keith Creekmore (and Mattie), Victoria Tucker (and Steven), and Dustin Coffey (and April); great-grandchildren, Natalie, Jessie Aiden, Ryne, Emmalyn, Jayden, Nikesha, Nova, Crosby James "CJ", Kinley, Jacey, Emery Jean, Gabrielle (and Donovan), Autumn, Alyssa, and Matthew (and Patience); and great-great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Oaklyn.
Bobby has attended the Bethel Baptist Church. He was well known in the community for his commitment to work. Having been a truck driver for both the Kentucky State Highway Department and McCreary County Road Department as well as a school bus driver and serving as Magistrate for 8 years. Bobby had also worked as a carpenter and laid block for many foundations. In his down time, he enjoyed going fishing and hunting as well as collecting antiques and simply watching cars go by from his porch. He had much pleasure in waving and greeting people and it always overjoyed him when they would stop by for a visit. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home at 6:00 pm with Bro. Craig Reed officiating. Burial to follow in the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday after 4:00 pm until service time.
