sorry to hear of Carl's passing. He would come into the Pine Knot Branch Bank and always wanted a calendar. I hadn't heard anything from him after he went to stay with his brother Bill. Sorry I missed the funeral. I didn't get the message about his passing and was talking to a friend today and found out. He was a kind soul. Sue Meadors.

In our journey, we meet people who inspire us, people who we connect to instantly and people who though different from ourselves show us an aspect of our own humanity we might not have known without the chance meeting. Saturday, such a person went home to be with the Lord and although I knew him for just a few short years and was not around him much, I looked forward to seeing him every time and every time was memorable. Rest In Peace Carl J Messer from Pine Knot, Kentucky...... you were loved by all who knew you. Prayers for his family as they will miss him dearly.
