CARL STANLEY

Mr. Carl Stanley, age 95 of Pine Knot, passed away on Wednesday November 12, 2008 at his home following an illness.

Funeral services will be Friday at 8pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial services will be Saturday morning at 11 at the Chitwood Cemetery in Winfield, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5pm until funeral service time at 8.

he was born in Winfield, Tennessee on August 25, 1913. His parents were the late Harvey and Edna Strunk Stanley. He is preceded in death by his wife Dessie and 3 sons: Paul Edward, Tommy Eugene, and Robert Estil. Also by 3 brothers, Ben, Carmel and Jim and a sister, Bessie Owens.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Ann Williams of Florida and a sister, Elsie Crabtree of Winfield, TN. There are 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 great great granchildren also surviving.

Carl was a self employed mechanic and tow truck operator. He owned a service station as well as Stanley's Supermarket.

He served his Lord as a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church in Winfield, where he was the oldest member of the church.

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family of Mr. Carl Stanley in his funeral arrangements.
