CARLTON L. STIMMEL

February 17, 1939 — July 5, 2016

Carlton L. ‘Doc’ Stimmel, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at his home in West Chester, Ohio.

He was born February 17, 1939, the son of the late Thomas R. and Alice (Newell) Stimmel.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Janet (Lay) Stimmel, loving children: Myra Terry and Paul Terry; a brother: Henry Stimmel; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He served his country in the United States Air Force.

Doc loved to fish, deer hunt and work as a mechanic, listen to gospel music, spend time with his family and be faithful to his Lord and Savior.

Funeral services were held at the Mueller Funeral Home in Mason, Ohio on Friday, July 8, 2016, at 8:00 p.m.

Graveside funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 10, 2016, at the T. Chitwood Cemetery in Pine Knot, Kentucky. Officiating was the Rev. Lance Lay and Honor Guard tribute bestowed by the U.S. Air Force.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted with local arrangements.
