CHARLES M. CRABTREE

Mr. Charles Crabtree, age 70, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at his home in Strunk, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Silerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until funeral service time.

Born in Pine Knot, Kentucky, on January 11, 1942, he was the son of the late Jesse and Evelyn (Cordell) Crabtree. He had worked in the strip mines throughout the years. He was of the Church of God faith and in his last years, he enjoyed sitting out on the front porch.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Reba Keith and a brother Bill Crabtree.

Surviving family include his wife Verna (Wilson) Crabtree of Strunk, Kentucky whom he married September 3, 1963. Their children are Carol Zeigler (and Richard), Goshen, Ohio; Kimberly Wilson (and Rick), Strunk; Bruce Crabtree, Indiana; Anthony Crabtree, Strunk and Charles Jesse Crabtree (and Tina) of Pine Knot. Surviving brothers are Lewis Crabtree, Oregon; Foster Crabtree, Strunk and Bob Bishop (and Susie) of Ohio.

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
