CLARA W. HATFIELD

Ms. Clara W. Hatfield, age 92, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012, at the McCreary Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pine Knot.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Landon Sexton and Rev. Bobby Stewart officiating. Interment will be at the Carson Memorial Gardens in Oneida. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-9pm at the funeral home.

Ms. Hatfield had been a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Born March 31, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Angeline Phillips West. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers Joseph, Andrew, Woodrow, Ben, Richard and John D. Jr. West and sisters Mary Ward, Ella Collins, Edith Yancey, Frances Stepp and Ruth West.

Surviving family include a son Jackie Lee (and Sherry) West, Interlochen, Michigan; three daughters Bessie (and Albert) Goad of Strunk, Phyllis Flores, Burlington, Kentucky, Roseleta (and Tony) Daltibuit, Orange Park, Florida; a sister Edria Mae Duncan, Cincinnati, Ohio, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
