Clara Watters

Clara Watters age 86 of Stearns, Kentucky passed from this life on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born January 1, 1931 in Slavens, Kentucky to the late Bollie Jones and Millie (Gregory) Jones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Randy Lee Jones; brothers, Teddy and Theodore Jones; and sisters, Mary Young, Bessie Vaughn, and Josie Jones.

Surviving family include her sons, Michael Ray Watters and James Steven “Bubba” Watters; daughters, Linda Gail Byrd and Tammy Renee Watters; a sister, Alice Phillips; grandchildren, Clarissa Burris, Jennifer Dixon, Angela Rodriguez, Eric Ray Watters, Kara Watters, Rickey Swiger, Jessica Spradlin, and Adam Swiger; and great-grandchildren, Jereth, Josh, Caleb, Hallie, Braydin, Haleigh, Clorina, Dreven, Shantara, and James.

Clara was a homemaker. She enjoyed caring for her family and cooking meals. She also enjoyed music and being outside gardening and fishing. Her loss brings many tears to our eyes and sorrow to our hearts, but we have faith that our loss, is her eternal gain.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Bro. David Vaughn officiating. Burial to follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 -9:00 pm at the funeral home.
