Cletus Lee Slaven

Cletus Lee Slaven age 71 of Strunk, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in Lexington, Kentucky. 

He was born February 6, 1951 in Scott County, Tennessee to the late Andrew Charlie Slaven and Lola (Boyatt) Slaven. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant son, Cletus Andrew Slaven, a brother, Cleo Kidd, and sisters, Catherine Collins, Jo Kidd, and Veda Carol Watson. 

Surviving family include his wife, Glenna (Creekmore) Slaven; son, Larry Slaven (and Nakayla Higginbotham) of Parkers Lake; daughter, Jamie Ethridge (and Dale) of Pine Knot; brothers, Lonnie Slaven of Oneida, TN and Kenneth Slaven (and Kinzella) of Indiana; and sisters, Beatrice Whitehead (and Eddie) of Indiana, Helen Hicks of Oneida, TN, and Ann Slaven of Nashville, TN.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Isabella Watson, Aiden Watson, and Winter Ethridge; and several nieces and nephews. 

Prior to his illness, Cletus was a Logger by trade. He enjoyed mechanic work, going fishing and camping. Cletus also loved to spend time with his friends and his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial location is currently pending. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday after 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
