Cora Lee Perry

Cora Lee (Perkins) Perry, age 76, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky passed away Tuesday September 22, 2015 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Funeral Services were Friday September 25, 2015 in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Ridener officiating  Burial was at Higginbotham Cemetery in the Beulah Heights Community.

Cora was born on September 17, 1939 to the Late Henry and Maude (Vanover) Perkins in Parkers Lake. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Leslie Perry; two sons Leslie E. and Lawrence Perry; a daughter Elsie (Perry) Taylor; seven brothers Charlie, Ross, Henry, Ernest,  Floyd, Wesley, and Brent Perkins; nine sisters Elsie Ridener, Lucy Barnett, Lizzie Renfro, Alison Perkins, Nannie Perkins, Aminee Vanover, Wilma Dean Perkins, Irene Loy, and Dora Raines; a grandson Arnold Taylor; two great grandchildren Patrick Taylor and Faith Jones.

Survivors include her four daughter Glenna Watson and husband Sherman of Whitley City, Sandra Messer and husband Elmer of Parkers Lake, Mary Hollis and husband Allen of Whitley City, and Wilma Jones of Williamsburg; two brothers Lewis Perkins and Gilbert Perkins; three sisters Doris Rickett, Lana Perry, and Peggy Little; a son-in-law Arnold Taylor. Cora Lee is was also blessed with fifteen grandchildren; fifty-five great grandchildren, and twenty-five great great grandchildren.

Cora was a member of the Pleasant Knob United Baptist Church, and was a home maker and and enjoyed her family.
