David Scott Dunn, Sr.

November 25, 1965 — August 3, 2022

David Scott Dunn, Sr. age 56 of Whitley City, Kentucky, formerly of Ohio, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

He was born November 25, 1965 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Earl Scott Dunn and Gloria (Barnett) Dunn. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his sisters, Brenda Dunn, Earlene Zimmer and husband, William "Billy", and Linda Dunn. 

Surviving family include his children, David Scott Dunn Jr. (and Cheyenne) of Whitley City, Isaiah Kenneth Lane Dunn (and CeCe) of Ohio, Brandy Day (and Anthony) of Stearns, Kentucky, and Alysia Bellomo of Ohio; and grandchildren, Riley Stephens, Donovan Day, Dylan Day, Skarlet Petrey, Lily Perry, Sitaly Drake, Justin Drake Jr., Jackson Drake, and Madilyn Dunn. 

Also surviving are David's brothers, James "Jimmy" Dunn, Tony Dunn (and Jennifer Riley), and Donnie Murphy Dunn; sisters, Joyce Murphy, Deloris Dunn (and Greg Goodman), and Alice Carter (and James); a sister-in-law, Regina Washington; and several nieces and nephews. 

David loved to tinker. He enjoyed the challenge of taking things apart and putting them back together. He was a carpenter by trade, but also liked to mechanic and paint. David enjoyed being outdoors, taking hikes, and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He will be sadly missed. 

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Spring Grove Funeral Home in Cincinnati, Ohio. Burial to follow in the Baltimore Pike Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
