Donald Everett Ball

Donald Everett Ball age 88 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Baptist Health of Corbin.

He was born November 5, 1933 in Pine Knot, Kentucky to the late George Ball and Sadie (Stephens) Ball. In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Elva (Keith) Ball; an infant grandchild, Noelle; brothers Cleamon Ball and Leon Ball; a daughter-in-law, Doris; sisters-in-law, Roxie and Reba; and a brother-in-law, John Ponders.

Surviving family include his children, Donald Wayne Ball (and Kay) of Cobin, Kentucky, Norris "Tracey" Ball of Pine Knot, Brenda Ball of Michigan, and Tina Campbell (and Bryan) of Somerset, Kentucky; grandchildren, Justin, Jason, Brandon, Cozy, and Crystal; and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Braden, Kennedy, Savannah, Noah, and Natalie.

Also surviving are brothers, Hobert Ball (and Christine) of Pine Knot, Leland Ball of Fairfield, Ohio, and Clem Ball of Williamsburg; and a sister, Helen Ponders of Williamsburg.

Donald was of the Baptist Faith. He had worked in Detroit in past time in an Auto Factory and continued to enjoy working on cars, lawn mowers, and tinkering with anything with a motor. Donald had also worked at Ward's Manufacturing in Hamilton, Ohio in the 1960's with his brothers. Donald also worked in construction and was extremely proud of the bridges he built in Erlanger, Kentucky. At home, Donald enjoyed hunting and animals, especially his dogs. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Keith Family Cemetery in Parkers Lake. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to assist with the remaining funeral expense.
