Ms. Earlene (Howard) Loudermilk, age 85, passed away Sunday, May 29, at her home in Pine Knot, Kentucky.
Born July 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Nevada (King) Howard. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clarence Loudermilk and two sons: Clarence Allen Loudermilk and Gregory Wayne Loudermilk. She is also preceded in death by two brothers: Henry Howard, Jr. and Lloyd Howard, three sisters, Parthene Hunley, Josephene Bowman and Rama Jean Bays, and a son-in-law, Dick Epperly.
Surviving family include two sons: Anthony Ray Loudermilk (Ellen) of Lexington, Kentucky, and Darrell Loudermilk (Freda) of Pine Knot, and a daughter Charlotte Lynn Epperly of Richmond, Kentucky, one brother, Morris Howard (Connie) Blanchester, Ohio, and a sister, Madelline Hererra of Missouri. There are ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren to cherish the memories of their grandmother.
Earlene had worked at the shirt factory (McCreary Manufacturing) and at American Bag Corporation as a machine operator. She had been the assistant manager at Maloney’s in Whitley City before they went out of business.
She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Pine Knot and enjoyed quilting and canning and cooking for her kids. She was a very good cook with biscuits being the family’s favorite.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Boyd Rowe officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Hayes Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until time for services.
