EDNA M VANOVER

Edna M. Vanover, age 80, of Pine Knot, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Bill King officiating. Burial will be at the Neeley's Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born April 17, 1933, in Pine Knot, she was the daughter of the late Porter and Maudie (Gilreath) Stephens. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Linda Sue Vanover, and a sister Pernie Ross.

Suriving family include a son David Charles Vanover of Pine Knot, three daughters; Velvie Byrd (and Roy Joe) of Michigan, Pat Phillips (and Harold), Pine Knot, and Kathy Richardson (and Bill) of Michigan. There are four surviving sisters; Ruth Ball (and James Dillard) of Pine Knot, Shirley Hicks, Joyce Napier (and Jackie) and Lois Dunagan all of Indianapolis and a brother Ray Merrell Stephens (and Fayrene) of Pine Knot. She had seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Ms. Vanover was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and flower gardening and taking care of her home. Her life on earth is now complete; her heavenly home awaits her.
