Edward Allen Meadows

Edward Allen Meadows age 68 of Strunk, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born December 30, 1954 in Pine Knot, Kentucky to the late Edward Luke Meadows and Jewel (Neal) Meadows. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Wayne Meadows and a sister-in-law, Belinda Meadows.

Allen is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda L. Meadows; his daughters, Alicia Meadows and Mary Bowling (and Barney); a son, Lucas Meadows (and Heather); 5 grandchildren, Emmanuel, Samuel, Hadlee, Sawyer, and Catherine; and a special nephew, Stephen Gilreath.

Also surviving is a sister, Rosalie Ball (and Wayne) and brothers, Calvin Meadows (and Charlene) and William Michael Meadows (and Jetondia); a sister-in-law, Eva Meadows; and many nieces and nephews.

Allen made his living as a truck driver hauling heavy equipment as well as operating heavy equipment for D.H. Campbell and Gregory Lumber. He enjoyed going camping and farming, but spending time with his family was his main focus. He loved spending time with his family, going hunting with his son, and supporting his grandchildren in their sporting events. Allen will be sadly and greatly missed by all who loved him.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial is to follow in the Meadows Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
