Edward "Eddie" Cordell

Edward “Eddie” Cordell, age 66, passed from this life on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at his home in Revelo, Kentucky.

He was born in Oneida, Tennessee on December 10, 1949, the son of Loyd “Pete” and Sadie (Kidd) Cordell.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Matthew Cordell, brother David Cordell, and sister Penny Carter.

Surviving family include his two sons Nathaniel and Seth Cordell both of Revelo, a sister Melissa Stanley and husband Sterling of Tunnel Hill, Georga. Also a host of grandchildren survive.

Eddie retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation as Superintendent.  He was a member of the Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church.


Funeral services:  2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Pine Knot Funeral Home

Rev. David Troxell officiating. 

Burial: Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery

Visitation: Monday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

I need Eddie and grew up with him in Revelo. We played alot of Ball games together. He was a good and kind man. He will be missed by all whom knew him.

I went to school with Eddie even shared a locker in high school.He was a friend and neighbor.The last time I seen Eddie was at David's visitation.We were so glad to see each other again he introduced me to his wife and we hugged like old times.Eddie was a great person 1 who would do about anything for you .He will truly be missed.I wish I had known he was sick I would of visited with them
