Emma Alice Sumler

Emma Alice Sumler age 65 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. 

She was born December 21, 1956 in Indiana to the late Ezra Brown and Mary (Goodwin) Brown. Emma was a member of the Log Cabin Church of God. She enjoyed watching TV and loved her dog, Britches. 

In addition to her parents, Emma is preceded in death by a brother, Michael Brown. 

Surviving family include her husband, Roland Sumler whom she married May 5, 2017; a daughter, Laura Shook (and Josh) of Indiana; 2 grandchildren; a brother, Monte Brown also of Indiana; and sisters, Gladys Wenger of Indiana and Rose Meadows (and Enos) of Strunk.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Cook officiating. Burial is to follow in the Angel Cemtery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday after 11:00 am until service time.
