Eugenia Kay McConnell

Eugenia Kay McConnell, age 55, passed away Monday September 21, 2015 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.

Funeral service will be Thursday September 24, 2015 at 2:00pm in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Frances King officiating with burial to follow in the Pleasant Run Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 noon until funeral time.

Eugenia was born on September 14, 1960 to the late Eugene Douglas Newman and Kathryn Bryant Raike. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by a son Jon Earl Dennis.

Survivors include her husband Mark McConnell of Strunk, Kentucky; two sons Scott Newman of Whitley City and Brandon McConnell of Strunk; two daughters Aimee Dennis and Stephanie McConnell both of Stearns; four brothers Mike Newman of Whitley City, Kevin Raike of Lakeland, Florida, Jimmie Raike of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Paul Newman; four sisters Melissia Raike, Mindy Lay, Jeanne Jackson and Nanita Ramsey. Also she is survived by 2 grandchildren  Riley Newman, Isabella Newman and one on the wayaand her name is gonna be Emree McConnell.

Eugenia was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling, amusement parks, and really loved cooking.
