Fred Harold Baird

Fred Harold Baird, Age 79 years, of Strunk, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Creekmore, Kentucky on October 14, 1939 the son of Joseph Fletcher and Myrtle Mae (Gilreath) Baird. Fred retired from the United States Air Force, was a member of the Pleasant Run Church, the Gideons McCreary Chapter, Orie S. Ware Masonic Lodge #874, Laurel Heights Chapter #288 Order of the Eastern Star, and the American Legion Post #115. He loved working outdoors and farming.

His parents; wife, Eileen (Kidd) Baird; sisters, Josephine and Laura Esther Baird; and brother, Ledford Baird precede him in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Leta Rai Davenport and husband, Keith Alan of Georgetown; grandsons, Jonathan Darryll Davenport and Michael Alan Davenport; brothers, Clyde Baird (wife Frances) and Alvin Baird (wife Sue) both of Milford, Ohio; sister, Shirley Fay Lay (husband Verlin) of Strunk; sisters-in law, Thelma Jean Baird, Marcella Ryan, Sue Carol Tribble and husband, Danny, Judith Anne Kidd, and Jewel Kidd; brother-in-law, Lonnie Kidd and wife, Janie.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Bryant and Bro. William Kilby officiating. Burial to follow in the East Pine Knot Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. The family will receive friends after 6:00 pm Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the funeral home. Eastern Star and Masonic Services will start at 7pm Saturday.
