Geneva Kathleen Campbell, age 84, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Peters and Rev. David West officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Upper Cal Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 a€" 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Campbell was born October 7, 1928, in Pine Knot, Kentucky, to the late Floyd and Myrtle (Rowe) Stephens. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband George Lay whom she married November 23, 1945 and her second husband Elmus Leroy Campbell whom she married March 15, 1969. She is also preceded in death by a son Kelly Dale Campbell, two grandchildren; Joseph Lay and Tina Genoe, two brothers; Richard and Herman Stephens, three sisters; Eva Moore, Georgia Farmer and Reba Frances Stephens and an infant sister.

Surviving family include four daughters; Wanda Neal (and Earl) of Connersville, Indiana, Joyce (Genoe) Howard of Pine Knot, Reva King (and Randy Bryant) of Pine Knot, and Tammy Jo Perry of Somerset, three sons; Ronald Gene Lay (and Linda) of Pine Knot, Bennie Stephens of Wartburg, Tennessee, and Danny Lay of Pine Knot. Her brothers are Donald Stephens (and Violet) and Ledford Stephens, both of Pine Knot, and sisters; Edna Wright, Pine Knot, Noneda Barnett, Pine Knot, Marie Bradley, Sydney, Ohio, and Irene Kidd, Pine Knot. Kathleen had 26 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren and two more expected. She loved and was loved by all. She especially enjoyed the friendship of her roommate Alma Perry at the McCreary Health and Rehab Center.
