Glen Earl King

Glenn Earl King, age 62, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015, at the Pioneer Community Hospital, Oneida, Tennessee.

Glenn was employed and retired with the National Park service in Maintenance and also as a Park Ranger, he also served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era.  He and his family operated King’s Tire and Automotive Repair Shop in Pine Knot, Kentucky.  Glenn was a member of the East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church of God in Pine Knot, Kentucky.

Glenn loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was born April 20, 1952, in Jellico, Tennessee, to William David King and Ruby Jane Moore.  He is preceded in death by his father and a niece Keshia Stephens.

Surviving family include his mother, Ruby Jane King, his wife Deborah Sue (Fields) King of Strunk, Kentucky, his children; Glenn King Jr. and wife Cindy of Strunk, Kentucky, Jesse David King and wife Haley, Pine Knot, Kentucky and Elisabeth Koger, and husband Bill of Revelo, Kentucky, Michelle King and Ericka King, Strunk, Kentucky.  Grandchildren: Sara Miller, Amber King, Austin Koger, Nick King, Gavin King and Gage King, Great Grandchild:  Baylen Miller, along with numerous nieces and nephews.  Brothers: William Paul King, Arvil Lee King, Daniel Edward King and William Paul Fox.  Sister:  Sharon Stephens.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church of God with Rev. William Kilby officiating.   Burial was at the East Pine Knot Memorial Garden in Pine Knot, Kentucky immediately following funeral services.
