GOLVIN L. DUNCAN

Golvin Duncan, age 90, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Oneida Nursing Rehab Center in Oneida, Tennessee.

No local funeral services were held.  Entombment was at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Akron, Ohio, on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the hour of 2:30 p.m.

Mr. Duncan was born October 29, 1923, in Paint Rock, Tennessee, to the late Jesse Everett and Lina Bell  (Ellis) Duncan.  Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Virginia (Sigley) Duncan, two daughters; Loretta Darlene Cool and Lenore Hutton Schmitts, five brothers; covie Lee Duncan, Roe Odlin Duncan, Earnest Buford Duncan, Cletus Duncan and Edgar William Duncan, and a sister Wilda Lenore Wright. 

Surviving family include a daughter Elaine Jarvis (and husband Everett) of Strunk, Kentucky, a sister Noal Deloris Gallegos of Pine Knot, two brothers; Lawrence Lester Duncan of N. Vernon, Ohio and Charles Dester Duncan of Somerset, Kentucky, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
