James "Beady" Perry

Mr. James "Beady" Perry age 71 of Muddy Branch Road in Pine Knot, passed away on Monday January 3, 2011 at Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Crabtree and Rev. Tim Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in the Barron Fork Cemtery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-9pm at the funeral home.

James was born at Coop, KY on June 28, 1939 to the Elmer M. and Gladys Manning Perry. He had been a coal miner most recently for Brownies Creek & Collier Mining Company and was a member of the Log Cabin Church at Mud Cut.

Preceding him in death is a brother, Maynard Perry and a sister, Mable Pauline Goforth.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Stephens Perry and 2 sons, J. C. Perry and his fiance' Debra King of Pine Knot, and Russell Perry and his wife Kathy of Berea, KY; 1 brother, Lloyd Perry and his wife Dianna of Cumberland Furnace, TN, and 2 sisters, Mildred King and her husband Lloyd of Cincinnati, and Alma Louise Stebelton of Mason, OH.

He also has 4 grandchildren, Mariah, Jordan, Brandon and MacKenzie and Bryceson King.

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family of James "Beady" Perry in his funeral arrangements.
