Jamie Dewayne Neal, age 49, of Seymore, Indiana, passed away Monday, September 21, 2026, at the University of Indiana Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is the son of Bonnie Sue Marcum and Jim Neal.

Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Ball Cemetery on The 3C Road. The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pine Knot Funeral Home.

He was born July 14, 1977, in Somerset, Kentucky.

Surviving family include his mother Bonnie Sue (Ball) Marcum (Ralph) of Pine Knot, Kentucky and Jim Neal (Lois) also of Pine Knot. He has a son, Evan James Neal and Evan’s mother Svetlana “Lana” Artemyeva Neal of Seymore, Indiana. He has two brothers; Jeff Neal (Kathy) of Oneida, Tennessee, and Joyn Neal (Bailey) of Somerset, Kentucky. He also has a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He had been a truck driver and became a truck driver trainer for Walmart.

Jamie was a life loving person. He enjoyed traveling and seeing the world and meeting people. He liked to play guitar and sing and write songs. His pastime was reading and riding motorcycles. His passion was spending time with his son and family whom he loved so dearly.
