Jeffery Ball

Jeffery Lane Ball age 67 of Stearns, Kentucky passed from this life on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at his home. 

He was born on September 30, 1958 in Scott County, Tennessee to the late Darrell Lee Ball and Bertha (Abbott) Ball. In addition to his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by his brothers, Chris Ball and Darrell "Dee" Ball.

Surviving family include his loving wife, Martha (Gilreath) Ball and their daughters, Amy Ball Carpenter (husband, Mike) and Mandy Ball Tidwell (husband, Lonnie); grandchildren, Madison (and Brendan), Travis, Cody, Ireland, Jordyn, Quinsy (and Brooke); and great-grandchildren, Onyx and Naomi. 

Also surviving are Jeff's brothers, James Ball (and Nola), Tim Ball (and Tina); sisters, Kim Specht, Karen Gilreath (and Charlie); and a multitude of special friends and extended family that Jeff loved so very much.

Jeff was a simple man. He found more pleasure in setting back, watching others, but never failed to make them laugh when he did speak up. Jeff had many hobbies, being mostly outdoors. Nature was his peace. Like many, he enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and camping. Jeff also loved animals and music; having written many funny songs of his own. Jeff's memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him. 

Per his wishes, Jeff was cremated. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday after 5:00 pm until service time.
