Jerry Len Neal

Jerry Len Neal age 72 of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at his home. 

He was born on February 2, 1953 to the late Donald Odis Neal and Alma Sally (Baird) Neal. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Neal and a sister, Judy Gail Braden.

Surviving family include his wife, Melinda (Marion) Neal; sons, Thomas Neal of Pine Knot, Jack Neal (and Teresa) of Mt. Vernon, KY, Charles Neal (and Barbara) of Pine Knot, and Jordon Neal of Pine Knot; and a daughter, Whitney Neal (and Rusty) of Pine Knot.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Emma, Lilyann, Emree, Khloee, Abbagail, Shyann, Kolton, Kade, Jaelynn, River, Jakob, Daysha, Tabatha, Josh, and Ashley; and 3 great-grandchildren, Jason, Eva, and Ellie. 

Jerry was of the Church of God faith. He had worked as a carpenter and had hobbies such as camping, fishing and dirt track racing. Jerry was a family man and loved nothing more than spending time with them all, but especially his grandbabies.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Stephens officiating. Burial to follow in the Hayes Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
