Mrs. Jessie Jerlene Wilson, age 54, of Pine Knot passed away Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Inman and Bro. Ronnie Duncan officiating. She was laid to rest in the Murray Wilson Cemetery.

Born May 3, 1951, in Winfield, TN, she was the daughter of the late Hurstle and Della Mae Burchfield Stephens. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Benny Wilson, an infant son, three infant brothers, Eugene, H.J. and Forrest Dillard Stephens, another brother Elmon Stephens, three sisters Kat Gannon, and Flora and Nora Burchfield and two brothers-in-law Curt Moore and Curtis Ellis.

Surviving family include a son Stephen Benny Wilson (and fiancAC. Lisa Dawn Neal) of Pine Knot and Stephanie Rose Wilson Phillips (and husband Dean), of Oneida, and two grandchildren Deanna and Eddie Dean (Bubby) Phillips. There are six surviving sisters Lee Moore of Winfield, TN, Conda (and Phil) Braigel of Wilmington, IL, Klet (and Charles) Carlisle of Baskett, KY, Corlan Ellis of Pine Knot, Bandal Ball (and companion James Taylor) of Stearns, Gigi (and Gary) Ellis of Chattanooga, TN. There are seven brothers Hack (and Jenny) Stephens of Inverness, FL, Deck (and Jenny) Stephens of Mooresville, IN, Joe (and Goldie) Stephens of London, KY, Von (and Linda) Burchfield of Greenwood, IN, Don (and Sue) Burchfield of Indianapolis, IN, Burt (and Bonnie) Burchfield of Winfield, TN and Carl (and Mary) Burchfield of Muncie, IN. There is a brother-in-law John Gannon of Indianapolis, and a sister-in-law Wanda Stephens. Her second mom Margaret Burchfield of Winfield, and Phillip Inman, her companion for over 10 years who lives in Pine Knot, also survives her. Jessie had worked at Stephens Mini Mart in Pine Knot was a member of the New Light Baptist Church. Her hobbies were sewing, painting, crocheting, embroidering, planting flowers in the springtime and vacationing with her sisters. All those that she dearly loved and that loved her will sadly miss her.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
