Joan Jones

Joan Jones age 85 of Dozier, Alabama formerly of McCreary County, passed from this life on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at her home. 

She was born on July 27, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Frederick Craft and Catherine (Greene) Craft. 

In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Denvil Jones; a son, Harold Watson; daughters, Becky Watson and Angel Scolfield (and her husband, Jesse); and a brother, James Byron. 

Surviving include her sons, Willie Watson (and Rena), Tony Watson, Steve Watson (and Elsie), and Lloyd Watson (and Vicky); daughters, Bonnie Bayman (and Dwayne) and Cindy Harrelson (and Robbie); and a host grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Joan was a member of the Freewill United Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting and playing games. In the past, she had also enjoyed working with flowers. Joan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.  

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Boyd Rowe officiating. Burial to follow in the Barren Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday after 2:00 pm until service time.
