JOHN DOBIES
January 16, 1927 — March 25, 2009
Mr. John Dobies, age 81 of Pine Knot passed away on Wednesday March 25, 2009 at his home.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home, with Bro. Wayne Inman officiating. At Mr. Dobies request, his remains will be cremated. The family will receive friends on Saturday after 12 noon until services at 1 in the funeral home.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on January 16, 1927 to the late Tony and Sophia Dobies. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Johnie Dobies Jr, 2 brothers, Walter and Stanley Dobies and 2 sisters, Betty and Sophia Dobies.
Mr. Dobies was a skilled machinist and of the Baptist Faith.
Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family of Mr. John Dobies in his funeral arrangements.
