JOSHUA RAY EDWARD CRABTREE

Mr. Joshua Ray Edward Crabtree, of Strunk, was born on January 11, 1988 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He walked into the arms of his Savior and Lord on Tuesday, February 5th, 2013, at the age of 25 years. Josh was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, James and Carrie Seward, and his paternal great-grandparents Edgar and Lizzie Garland. A lover of the outdoors, dedicated and loving father and Papaw's mechanic buddy, he is survived by: -a daughter, Kaylen Crabtree, age 4 of Oneida, Tennessee; -his mother, Judy Corinna Garland of Strunk; -his sister, Chelsea Martin of Corbin; -his father, Carol Ray Crabtree; -his maternal grandparents, Edward and Judy Nadine Garland, of Strunk; -numerous aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. He attended McCreary Central and Russell County High Schools. During his life, he participated in football, baseball, martial arts, and was active in the Russell Springs United Methodist Church youth group. Josh also worked as a coal miner, general construction laborer in carpentry and steel, mechanic and logger. Joshua had a public profession of faith in the Spring of 2004, while a teenager, attending RSUMC in Russell Springs, Kentucky, and claimed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was baptized and a member of the Russell Springs United Methodist Church. Funeral services for Mr. Crabtree will be on Saturday, February 9th, 2013 at the Pine Knot Funeral Home, at 3:00pm with sunset grave service at Round Top Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, February 8th from 5:00 to 6:00pm for family, and from 6:00 to 9:00pm at the Pine Knot Funeral Home. Pine Knot funeral home is responsible for these arrangements.
