Joyce Ann Genoe, age 75, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away on September 6, 2026, at Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky, surrounded by loving family.

Joyce was a member of Marsh Creek Baptist Church, she enjoyed singing, sewing, quilting, shopping, watching Bonanza and Gunsmoke, but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her boys and their families. She assisted her husband, the father of her children, Bob Davis Genoe Jr., in the running of Bob’s Tire Shop for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George Lay and Geneva Stephens Lay Campbell; her husband, Bob Davis Genoe Jr.; daughter, Tina Louise Genoe; brothers, Ronald Lay and Benny Stephens; and sister, Wanda Sue Neal.

Left to morn Joyce’s passing are her sons, James “Davie” and wife Julie Genoe of Stearns, KY., Dallas Michael and wife Brandi Genoe of Lexington, KY., Kelly Dale and wife Emily Genoe of Pine Knot, KY., and Denny Dewayne and wife Janifer of Pine Knot, KY.; brother Danny Lay of Whitley City, KY.; sisters, Reva King-Bryant of Whitley City, KY., Tammy and husband Johnny Perry of Pine Knot, KY.; grandchildren, Jordan (Chad) Jones, Jerica Genoe, Jaelynn (Billy) Hayes, Jada (Jonathon) Boyatt, Dustin (Anna) Genoe, Madisyn (Todd) Jordan, Amber (Ryan) Griffis, Chevy (Kenedy) Genoe, Courtney (Shane) Byrd; great grandchildren, Rylee, Everly, Bow, Ellie, June, Maverick, Skylin, Savannah , Aubriella, Rynnlee, Autumn, Claire, Vivian, Holden, Kambrie and Reece, along with a special nephew, Danny Allen Lay.

Funeral Services for Joyce will be held in Pine Knot Funeral Home Chapel on September 9, 2026 at 4:00 pm., with brother Boyd Rowe officiating, visitation will begin at 2:00 pm until time for services. Burial will follow in the Upper Cal Hill Cemetery.
