L. A. MURPHY

Mr. L.A. Murphy, age 48, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Davis Hill Church of God in Pine Knot with Bro. Charles Smiddy officiating. Burial was at the Upper Cal Hill Cemetery.

L.A. was born August 24, 1964, in Ohio. He was a son of the late Lewis Andrew and Barbara Faye (Stephens) Taylor. Preceding him in death besides his parents is his wife Etta (Lovitt) Murphy and one sisters Nelma Perkins and. Surviving family include a daughter Alisha Baird (and Warren) of Jellico, Tennessee and Christopher Murphy (and Kelly) of Pine Knot. He has five grandchildren; McKynleigh, Lexie, Mason, Connor and Mitchell.

Surviving brothers are Simon Taylor of Strunk, Shannon Murphy of Richmond, Daniel Taylor of Parkers Lake, Kelsey Taylor of Indiana, Freda Strunk, Somerset and Lou Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio.
