L. D. Musgrove

June 16, 1921 — July 26, 2006

Mr. L. D. Musgrove, age 85, of Forest Park, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at his home.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 28, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. David Troxell officiating. Special music was provided by the Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church Choir. He was laid to rest in the Musgrove Cemetery in Pine Knot, Kentucky.

He was born at Crossroads, Tennessee, on March 16, 1921, the son of the late George and Vina Davis Musgrove. Also preceding him in death is his wife Juanita Godsey Musgrove who passed away on December 5, 2002, a son Dester Musgrove, and three brothers Roosevelt, Lonnie and Bufford Musgrove. Deceased sisters are Beatrice Ross, Phyllis Jean King, and two infant sisters and a son-in-law Charles Jackson.

L.D. and Juanita had two sons Lester Musgrove (and wife Brenda) of Vail Arizona and Larry Musgrove (and wife Patricia) of High Point, Ohio. And three daughters Betty Reed (and husband Charles) of Ross, Ohio, Mary Jackson of Cheviot, Ohio, and Barbara Sawyer (and husband Estel) of Hamilton, Ohio. They were blessed to have 15 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

Mr. Musgrove had worked for Sears and Roebuck as a forklift operator for 17 years and prior to that he worked for Carthage Mills for 24 A½ years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. His hobbies were hunting raising hunting dogs and collecting guns and coins.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
