LARRY WAYNE GRANT

August 19, 1960 — December 9, 2013

Mr. Larry Wayne Grant, age 53, of Oneida, Tennessee, passed from this life on Monday, December 9, 2013, at the North Knoxville Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 12, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Blankenship officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Ryan Family Cemetery at Gumfork. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until time for services at the funeral home.

Mr. Grant was a retired steel mill supervisor and a member of the Upper Jellico Creek Church. His hobbies were mowing grass, playing guitar, mud riding and working on his vehicles. He also liked doing carpentry work. He enjoyed going camping, spending time with his family and the baby. Larry will be most remembered for his good sense of humor.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 19, 1960, he was the son of the late James and Kathleen (King) Grant. His parents precede him in death. Surviving family include his wife Madge (Stephens) Grant of Oneida, four sons; Bradley Grant, Seattle, Washington Samuel Grant (wife Keasha), Gumfork, Tennessee, Roger Grant (wife Kasandra), Oneida, , and Tafton Grant of Oneida, four daughters; Patricia Hawkins (husband Ronald), Dry Ridge, Kentucky, Tacarria Chapplear (husband Justin), Cambridge, Ohio, and Delilah Privett. Larry has three brothers; Ed Grant (wife Terrie), Independence, Kentucky, Ronald Grant (wife Thelma), Sparta, and David Grant of Crittenden, Kentucky. Sisters are Beulah Faye Thomas (husband Chris), Taylors Mill, Kentucky, Sherrie Friedman, Crittenden, Dena Thomas (husband Eric), Morning View, Kentucky, Lena Grant, Pine Knot, Regina Kannady, Crittenden. Foster sisters are Tammy Madison, Toni Craig and Tonya Madison all of Pine Knot. Larry and Madge were blessed with six grandchildren.
