Larry Ray Stephens

Larry Ray Stephens age 70 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center. 

He was born August 30, 1951 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Elmer and Evelyn Stephens. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Whitehead and a brother, Coy Stephens. 

Surviving family include his wife, Patricia Diane Morrow; children, Shawndra Spradlin (and Rusty) of Sawyer, Jennifer Louise Kidd (and Chad) of Whitley City, and James Lindell Ray Stephens (and Rebecca) of Pine Knot; step-children, Chrissy Brown and Eric Morrow (and Tammy); a brother, John Paul Stephens (and Rose) of Pine Knot; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and "mamaw", Ruth Ball. 

Larry was of the Church of God faith. In past time, he worked as a Truck Driver for D.H. Campbell and Malco. With his free time, Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers, and playing rook with his friend. He was never a stranger to anyone, so Larry had many friends. But above all things, he loved his family and being with them.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Taylor and Bro. Jerry Neal officiating. Burial to follow in the East Pine Knot Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday after 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
