Larry Evan Wright

Larry Evan Wright age 74 of Strunk, Kentucky passed from this life on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at his home.

He was born May 6, 1947 in McCreary County, Kentucky to the late Oscar Wright and Mildred (Stephens) Wright.

Surviving family include his wife of 49 years, Nancy (Wilhite) Wright; a son, Nathan Evan Wright (and Jaime) of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Emily Joy Wright-Wintle of Melbourne, Australia; and grandchildren, Della Rose Wright-Wintle, Oscar Earl Wright-Wintle, Evan Jakob Wright, and Samuel James Wright.

Larry was a U.S. Army veteran having served his county from 1970 to 1984, both in the Army and Army Reserve. He had been a federal security officer, worked for Corning Glass, worked for 12 years for General Electric in three different states, worked for six years at Ford Motor Company and four years as a government contractor for Robbins Gioai. He enjoyed his work with aircraft and in the automotive industry.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Stephens officiating. Larry will be laid to rest in the Pine Knot Cemetery with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post #115 of Stearns. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday after 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
