Lillian Y Gilreath

Lillian Gilreath, age 65, of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky, on February 8, 1952.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Connie (Stephens) Duguid and grandmother, Della Stephens.

Surviving family include her husband Lloyd Gilreath whom she married February 2, 1970, a son, Bryan (and Hazel) Gilreath of Pine Knot, a daughter: Tammy (and Mike) Troxell of Pine Knot, two grandchildren: Dakota Gilreath and Aaron Gilreath, a brother: Richard Duguid of Georgia, two sisters: Bridgette Duguid and Roenia Owens both of Georgia, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

Lillian had been a secretary for the McCreary County Schools and a member of Pine Knot Freewill Baptist Church.  She had been a member of the South McCreary Fire Department and the McCreary Search and Rescue Squad.  She enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, scrapbooking and other crafts.  She also enjoyed camping and jeep riding.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and socializing with her friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Boyd Rowe officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday after 6:00 pm until time for services at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest at the Pine Knot Cemetery on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
