LINDA JOHNSON

Linda Johnson, age 77, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at home in Pine Knot, Kentucky,

Born July 26, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Willie Estil Summers and Emma Carolyn Hickman “Tiny” Summers, Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Glen Edward Johnson, a daughter Melissa Carol Erwin and step-daughter, Gwen Johnson.

Surviving family include a son, Richard Summers (Tiffany) of Strunk, Kentucky, a stepdaughter, Debbie Stanfield (Vern) of Pine Knot, brothers: Jim Dean Summers (Carolyn) of Stearns, Freddie Summers (Debbie) of Scott County, Tennessee, and Tom Summers of Pine Knot, a sister, Beth Ann Lawson (Bobby) of Scott County.

Grandchildren are Jeffrey Summers, Darcy Phillips, Taylor Murphy, Jadyn Owens, Kolton Summers, Allen Braden, Jr., Danny Stanfield, Jennifer Ross, and Jessica Hall. Great grandchildren are Leia Phillips, Jace Summers, Hadlie Murphy, Arya Phillips, Navy Phillips, Hayden Phillips and Jake Summers.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other family and friends that love her.

Linda had worked most of her life. She owned and ran The Movie Station at Pine Knot. She worked at Big John’s in Pine Knot for years and had worked at Le Sport Sac. In her later years, she enjoyed staying home watching soap operas and cooking shows, but most of her enjoyment came from spending time with her great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Corder officiating. Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until time for services on Wednesday. She will be laid to rest at the Pleasant Run Cemetery.
