Linda Sue Vickery

Linda Sue Vickery age 62 of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Baptist Health of Corbin. 

She was born on March 1, 1964 in Oneida, Tennessee to the late Rodney Chitwood and Sandra Sue (King) Chitwood. In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Gary "Bronson" Wayne Vickery Sr.; and sisters, Sonya Ball and Teresa Roe. 

Surviving family include her children, Gary Vickery Jr and Keisha Nicole Vickery; a brother, Shannon Chitwood; sisters, Rhonda Taylor (and Rick), Pam Shoopman (and Jimmy), Rita Chitwood (and Crawford Duncan), Darlene Chitwood (and Jackie), and Stacey Bryant (and Earl); grandchildren, Dalton Dakota, Bryson, Tyler, Johnathan, Schyler, and Zoey; a great-grandchild, Wrenley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and additional family who loved her dearly. 

Linda was a homemaker. She loved her family and always enjoyed caring for them, especially her grandchildren. Linda also enjoyed cooking, having been a cook for restaurants in the past. She also enjoyed listening to music. Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Pleasant Run Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday after 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
