Louverna Taylor Turner age 89, a Shining Light in Our Lives...

In the early hours of Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, our beloved Mamaw Lou left this world behind and was called home by Jesus to join her late parents, Asbel and Nannie Taylor; her husband Kenneth Turner and their son Farrell; her brothers Arthur, Arnold, Grover, Esbon, Junior, and Alvie Taylor; her sisters Verda Boeck and Tava Douglas; one grandbaby, and two great-great-grandbabies.

But her legacy of love, kindness, and warmth will continue to inspire us for years to come. To those who knew her, Mamaw Lou was the rock of our family, a constant source of comfort, guidance, love, and the most delicious fried apple pies.

With a heart full of love and a spirit that could light up a room, Mamaw Lou touched the lives of everyone she met. Her love for her family was evident in every meal she cooked, every hug she gave, and every prayer she whispered. She was the glue that held our family together, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Mamaw Lou's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and her love for her church and community was evident in her dedication and service. But more than anything, she loved her family, many members of which she leaves behind are her sister Belva (Jim) King; her daughter Dovey (Chuck) Chambers, Daughter-in-law Donna Turner; Grandchildren Tonya (Henry) Hackler, Harley (Tracy) Vanover, Chandal (Brandon) Kidd, and Melanee Chambers; Great-grandchildren Matthew (Natasha) Hackler, Noah (Cherish) Hackler, Andrew (Kennedy) Hackler, Elizabeth Hackler, Trent Johns, Kaylie Kidd, Rylan Kidd, and Gabby Vanover, and Kenneth Ledger T Vanover, and special great-grandchild Jeremiah Winchester; Great-great-grand-children Daniel and Elijah Hackler, and Lexi Johnson, a host of nieces and nephews, and many more loved ones. Despite their relation, she was everyone's Mamaw Lou.

As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we take comfort in the memories we shared with her. We'll remember her warm smile, her laugh, her support, and her unwavering faith. We'll cherish the time we had with her, and we'll strive to live up to the example she has set for us.

Rest in peace, dear Mamaw Lou. We love you more than words can say. Obituary provided by the family.

A private family gathering was held, and Mrs. Turner was laid to rest beside her husband at the T Chitwood Cemetery.
