LYMON EUGENE BALL

Lymon Eugene Ball, age 51, passed away Monday, December 17, 2007, in Pine Knot, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Inman officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Rock Cemetery in Whitley City. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born January 26, 1956 at Wiborg, Kentucky, he was the son of Robert Lymon and Beulah Faye Rollins Ball. Preceding him in death is his father Robert Lymon Ball, two brothers Hollis Lee and Roger Dale Ball and his wife Paula. And a brother-in-law Robin Johnson. Surviving family include his mother Beulah Faye Ball of Pine Knot, a son Robert (and Tammy) Ball of Strunk and a daughter Jami Ball of Clarksville, Tennessee. Surviving sisters are Alice (and Leonard) Funk of Sydney, Ohio, Velma (and Sonny) Cress of Bronston, Kentucky, Nancy Ball of Ohio, Martha Johnson, Pine Knot, and Dioma (and Ronnie) Lovett, Pine Knot. Brothers are Bobby Ball, Ohio, Bill Ball, Nancy, Kentucky, Jack Ball, Ohio, and Barry Lynn "Pete" (and Anna Lee) Ball of Stearns. Other survivors include the mother of his children, Tammy Ball.

Gene was a mill worker for Shaw Carpet Company in Dalton, Georgia. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Beaver Creek Cherokee Indian Tribe. He was a native American Craftsman specializing in making dream catchers, knives, bows and arrows among other things. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
