Marlene Catherine Hamblin

Marlene (Budai) Hamblin age 79 of Williamsburg, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the Baptist Health of Louisville.

She was born June 19, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Joseph Budai and Dorothy (Schradbrun) Budai. Her brother, Lewis Budai also precedes her in death.
Surviving family include her husband, Glenn Hamblin whom she married, March 19, 1981; a daughter, Dawn Rahe Helton of Williamsburg, Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Charles Helton, Lacey Zugg, and Erica Helton; and great-grandchildren, Seth Anderson, Dylan Anderson, Nakyna Sala, and Kaleb Mueller.

Marlene was a member of the Eastern Star of McCreary County. In her spare time, she enjoyed making baskets and teaching class at the Kentucky Hills and Hollows. Marlene also enjoyed working at the food bank that the Pine Knot Fire Department held. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Doyle Lester. Burial to follow in the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday after 11:00 am until Eastern Star Services at 12:30 pm.
