Mary Jewell Hail

Mary Jewell Hail age 65 of Strunk, Kentucky passed from this life on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born in Winfield, Tennessee on March 27, 1951 to the late Oscar Maxey and Goldie (Ryan) Maxey. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Teddy Joe Maxey and Rodney Joe Hail; brothers, Roger, Mark, Frank, and Ed Maxey; and sisters, Betty Duncan and Ruth Wilson Lynch.

Surviving family include her son, Ronald J. “Baldie” Hail Jr. of Bromley, Kentucky; a daughter, Bridgett Vance (and Alan Ritch) of Strunk, Kentucky; grandchildren, Krystal Roberts, Megan Adkins, Stacy Hail, Kendall Vance, Tyler Sizemore; great-granchildren, Savannah Roberts and Keilah Smith Roberts; a son-in-law, Randy Vance; and a special cousin, Alice Ross of Oneida, Tennessee.

Mary adored her family, especially her grandchildren. She always enjoyed spending time with them. Mary also enjoyed gameshows, playing cards, and bingo.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Ryan Cemetery at Gum Fork, Tennessee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday after 12:00 noon.
